Alex Bregman, 3B, BOS
On Thursday night, Bregman hit his 5th home run of the season, going 2 for 3 with a walk and two RBI. He is currently riding a five-game hitting streak and has his average at a gorgeous .320 for the season. I've always thought Bregman could improve if he tried to use more of the field regularly...well, Bregman's current 52.5% Pull% is a career-high, so he has found success in Boston by sticking to his guns. It also helps that he owns a career-high 47.5% HardHit% and has displayed exemplary plate discipline thus far. Bregman's 14.0% Whiff% and 17.0% Chase% currently rank in the 95th and 98th percentile, respectively.
Luke Keaschall, 2B, MIN
Keaschall went 1 for 2 with a walk to extend his hitting streak to six games to start his career. The 22-year-old has displayed remarkable plate discipline to begin his big-league tenure. His minuscule 18.9% Whiff% and 21.4% Chase% have led to five walks in 25 plate appearances (19.2% BB%). Reaching base via the walk will be integral to his success as he does have speed, already swiping five bases in five attempts. Keaschall hasn't gone deep yet, but he hit 15 homers across 102 MiLB games last season, so there is some pop in his bat, too. The youngster's early success has vaulted him up to the Twins' three-hole hitter, though that probably says more about their offense in 2025 than it does about Keaschall's prospects for the season.
Shane Smith, SP, CHW
Smith blanked the Twins across 5.0 frames on Thursday afternoon. The rookie racked up a career-high seven Ks en route to collecting his first big league win. Smith now owns a tidy 2.30 ERA and .95 WHIP across 27.1 innings this season. The 25-year has been outstanding at limiting runs thus far (ranks in the 96th percentile in Pitching Run Value); however, this doesn't seem sustainable. Smith's 21.5% Chase% ranks in the 11th percentile, and his 16.7% K% ranks in the 19th, while his 46% HardHit% ranks in the 28th percentile, and his 4.37 xERA ranks in the 38th. Still, it's a great start to the youngster's career and about all the White Sox have going for them at this point.
Felix Bautista, RP, BAL
Bautista picked up his third save of the season, protecting a 2-1 lead in Washington on Thursday. He has gone five straight appearances without yielding a run since his rough outing against the Red Sox (2ER, 2H, 2BB) at the end of March. After missing an entire season (Tommy John), Bautista has understandably not been the same thus far. The K-rate is down--10.29 K/9 compared to 16.23 in 2023--but what's more concerning is the 7.71 BB/9 walk rate. Still, he has only allowed a run in one of his seven appearances and is performing fantastically in the advanced metrics. Bautista owns a 33.3% Whiff%, with a stellar 60% GB% and 26.7% HardHit%.
Jordan Beck, OF, COL
Beck hit his first three home runs of the season across the Rockies' double-header in Kansas City. The three long balls also doubled Beck's career output, giving him six in 195 career plate appearances. The 24-year-old struggled in his debut season in 2024, hitting .188 with a 35.3% K%, and started his 2025 campaign similarly, hitting .150 before being sent down nine games into the season. However, he has been on a tear since being recalled on the 19th. He's 6 for 16 with four XBHs (3HR and a 3B) and six RBI.
