James Wood, OF, WSH
Wood recorded his first multi-homer game of his young career on Sunday afternoon. Both long balls were solo shots and he added a walk to round out his day. With seven homers and 12 SBs, the massive 21-year-old has displayed a good mix of power and speed through 280 career plate appearances. The future is certainly bright for Wood as he also hefts a .273/364/.429 triple-slash line this season. His robust 29.9% Whiff% and 29.3% K% are far from ideal, but that is easily overlooked due to how impressive it is when he makes contact. Wood owns a 51.6% Hard-Hit% and 92.4 MPH avg Exit Velo. With a 57.8% GB% and 28.6% LA Sweet-Spot%, his launch angle could use some work; but overall the sky appears to be the limit for this kid.
Eugenio Suarez, 3B, ARI
Suarez stayed hot on Sunday afternoon, going 2 for 5 with three RBI. He was only credited with two singles in the contest, however, his second single was a walk-off blast that hit halfway up the wall in right-center field. The 33-year-old has had a resurgence over the second half of the season and is eying a 30 HR/100 RBI campaign. Suarez is hitting .449 with seven homers and 12 since September 1st. The aggressive Suarez has used his new hitter-friendly home park to his advantage, posting his best overall offensive season since his monster 49-homer season he posted in 2019 with Cincinnati.
David Peterson, SP, NYM
Peterson gave up one run on four hits on Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia. The southpaw kept the red-hot Philly offense at bay but was unable to improve upon his 9-2 record in the contest. Despite a marginal 7.26 K/9 and 3.51 BB/9, Peterson has maintained an impressive 2.83 ERA across 110.1 innings this season. The 29-year-old has kept the ball on the ground and hasn't allowed a lot of home runs (.65 HR/9), but his 4.21 xFIP and 4.92 xERA are a cause for concern. He has certainly done enough to earn a spot in the rotation come 2025, but he will still be a question mark when it comes to 2025 fantasy drafts.
Cole Sands, RP, MIN
Sands tossed 2.0 shutout innings, striking out three, en route to his 8th win of the season. The 27-year-old has emerged as a weapon out of the pen for the Twins this season. He boasts a 10.23 K/9 due to an impressive 32.2% Chase Rate (83rd percentile) and his 3.5% BB% is elite as it ranks in the 98th percentile. He has racked up 66.0 innings this season with a 2.86 ERA and .95 WHIP. The Twins have used Jhoan Duran and Griffin Jax in the highest-leverage situations this season, but Sands has carved himself out a useful fantasy campaign nonetheless.
Aaron Judge, OF, NYY
Judge hit his 53rd homer on the season on Sunday afternoon. The 32-year-old has now homered twice in the past three games after enduring a 16 game-stretch without a long ball. Despite the dry spell, Judge still leads the majors in home runs and no hitter's wOBA or wRC+ come close to his .469 and 212 marks, respectively. Judge has proven to be the best power in the league this season and the only thing that will keep him from being a top fantasy option again come 2025 is his health.
