Kyle Seager-Mariners-3B
Kyle Seager was 2-6 with 1 R, 1 BB, and 2 RBI in the doubleheader against the Padres. Seager is now hitting .292 with 5 HR, 18 R, 26 RBI, and 4 SB. The skills behind his strong start are encouraging. He has an above-average strikeout (12% K) and walk rate (11% BB). Seager is also hitting the ball hard with consistency (51% Hard). He is underrated and the underlying skills look solid as ever. Seager doesn't carry a lot of name-value so there is a decent chance you could acquire him on the cheap.
Sam Haggerty-Mariners-OF
Sam Haggerty was 3-8 with 3 R and 2 RBI in the doubleheader against the Padres. He is playing every day for the Mariners. He is hitting .303 with 1 HR, 5 R, 4 RBI, and 4 SB in 33 AB. Haggerty's fantasy value will come from stolen bases which he has already displayed. The power will be non-existent and the average is going to depend on his batted ball luck. He has an aggressive approach (25% K and 4% BB). If you need stolen bases he is worth the add while the playing time is there.
Taylor Williams-Mariners-RP
Taylor Williams blew the save in the first game of the double header. He gave up 5 ER over .2 IP on 2 H, 2 BB, and 1 K. Williams had pitched well for the Mariners (3.00 ERA and 1.08 WHIP) and was 6 for 6 in save chances. Despite today's rocky appearance it still looks like Williams will be the closer and he has the skills to do it (33% K, 8% BB, and 15% SwStr). Stay the course and hope he doesn't have another blow up like today.
Austin Nola-Mariners-C
Austin Nola was 2-4 with 1 R, 2 RBI, and 2 BB in the doubleheader against the Padres. Nola is now hitting .323 with 5 HR, 16 R, 19 RBI, and 0 SB. He is providing great value for anyone who picked him up as their catcher. The underlying skills are above average (16% K, 6% BB, and 50% Hard). The biggest improvement this year has been an increase in contact (86%) which has a lot to do with not chasing balls out of the zone (22% O-swing). It doesn't hurt that he also gets time at DH in addition to catching which only helps increase his fantasy value.
Randy Dobnak-Twins-SP
Randy Dobnak has been sensational in 2020 with a 1.78 ERA and 1.02 WHIP. The underlying skills are not great (14% K, 5% BB) but he has been able to thrive otherwise. Part of his success is his arm angle and deception which leads to a ton of weak contact (62% GB) and his domination of right-handers (.196/.237/.268). His .226 BABIP and 93% LOB aren't going to stick and regression is going to set in but he is still a fantasy viable starter that is on a hot stretch right now. He gets a home start against the White Sox next time out.
