Hunter Renfroe- OF- SD- Idea- Renfroe is slashing .328/.426/.621 against LH pitching and has hit 4 HRs in 58 ABs against them. Amir Garrett hasn't let RH hitters get many hits but he does put them on base. His slash line of .260/.359/.571 against them also reflects the trend that when they do hit him it goes a long way. Garret has allowed 12 homers in 40.1 IP against RH hitters. This is a positive matchup for Renfroe. Value play- Draft Kings salary $3600
Ryan Raburn- OF- WAS- Hot- Raburn was acquired by the Nats last month in a minor league deal with the White Sox and called up earlier this month when Jayson Werth hit the DL. He has gotten the occasional start and PH appearance. After going 2-for-4 yesterday he has consecutive starts with multiple hits. This could earn him some more playing time. Raburn hit 9 homers with the Rockies in 256 PAs last season. His power wasn't a product solely of Coors Field, though. He hit 4 in 113 ABs at more normal altitudes. If he continues to get playing time, Raburn could show some production in deeper leagues.
Josh Harrison- 2B- PIT- Cold- Harrison went 0-for-4 with 3 Ks to break a 10-game hitting streak. This may not be the start of some regression to the mean, but Harrison has been benefiting from good luck. His .305 average is supported by a .340 BABIP. From May 23- Monday, Harrison had a stretch where he went 29-for-79 and had a BABIP of .415. Regression will not be his friend when it happens, This puts him in the "sell high" category.
Zack Wheeler- P- NYN- Cold- Wheeler ended a string of 7 starts where he allowed no more than 3 runs in spectacular fashion yesterday. He was charged with 8 runs on 6 this and 3 walks while striking out 3 batters in just 1.2 IP. The outing sent Wheeler's ERA up from 3.45 to 4.48. He had difficulty in his first few starts of the season, but given how he had settled down it's not time to panic. For now, consider this an aberration.
Corey Knebel- RP- MIL- Hot- Knebel picked up his 9th save of the season in the nightcap of yesterday's doubleheader. He recorded a strikeout in his 33rd straight relief game. Knebel has converted his last 5 save opportunities and with the surprising success of the Brewers has become a good source of saves since taking over as Milwaukee's closer.
