Mark Trumbo - Mark Trumbo laced four hits Saturday including his 27th double of the season. Trumbo has had a huge season and has lined himself up for potentially a good payday with a 124 wRC+ and a .256/.317/.535 in 663 PAs. His 47 homers that he's hit this year are by far his most homers in a season by over 10. Trumbo actually has a career high in HR/FB rate with a homerun coming very fourth fly ball that he hit.
Nelson Cruz - Nelson Cruz sits one homer shy of his career high 2015 season after his homer Saturday. Cruz has homered in back to back games and is now in a bit of a hot streak homering in five of his last names. Maybe we can continue this kind of season into next year but if he reproduces batted balls at the same rate as this past season we're likely going to see a dip in his numbers just a bit as his FB% is going up while his HR/FB rate is dropping.
Manny Machado - Manny Machado is closing his 2016 strong launching his 27th homer and closing in on 100 RBI, but he still hasn't stolen a base all season after swiping 20 a year ago. He has been caught three times, but wasn't able to be successful yet this season. So while his fantasy season wasn't top five like it was last year still had an incredible season with a 128 wRC+ and eclipsing 100 runs scored for the second straight season.
Collin McHugh - Collin McHugh had an excellent final start to the season with 7.2 shutout innings allowing three hits and striking out five. The win he picked up gives him 13 on the season. His overall season was probably a step back no matter how you look at it whether by traditional stats like wins and ERA or by WAR and FIP. McHugh is still a fantasy relevant pitcher though as he strikes people out at a solid rate and is on a good team who can pick him wins at a solid rate.
Chris Sale $10.6K vs Twins - Sunday is the last DFS opportunity for the year in baseball so I want to go all out and get Chris Sale in my lineups. The Twins have decent numbers of Sale in 220 ABs with a .282 average and .323 OBP but they do have 67 strikeouts (30% k rate). He's the second most expensive pitcher on Fanduel tomorrow but he's going to easily be worth his price in lineups.
