Lonnie Chisenhall- 3B- CLE- Idea- Chisenhall has played in the outfield almost exclusively this season and that's where he's eligible. His .305/.345/.469 slash line against RH pitching is an asset. Jose Berrios has had problems with LH hitting with a .314/.404/.430 slash line against them. Chisenhall had hit in 6 straight through Friday and his hot streak is poised to continue. Value play- Draft Kings salary $3500
Gary Sanchez- C- NYA- Hot- Is Sanchez really Chuck Norris in disguise? The Rays tried to intentionally walk him in the 8th with runners at 2nd and 3rd. On the first pitch, a 51.8 mph lob out of the strike zone, Sanchez reached out and drove it to left center for a sac fly. The ball was about 6 feet short of being a homer. That's the kind of thing you don't see every day. Sanchez is also now one of 5 players to hit 13 homers in their first 35 games.
Kendall Graveman- P- OAK- Cold- Has regression to the mean set in for Graveman? After yesterday's outing in which he allowed 8 runs in 5 IP his FIP remained unchanged at 4.54 but his ERA shot up from 3.81 to 4.13. Graveman only struck out 1 batter while walking 3, dropping his K/9 to 5.14 and increasing his BB/9 to 2.41. He has thrown only 15 quality starts in 28 appearances so he shouldn't be high on your list for 2017 despite being termed, "Oakland's most consistent starter."
Collin McHugh- P- HOU- Stats- McHugh picked up the win, allowing only 1 run, and struck out 6 batters in 5 IP. That's the good news. The not so good news is that he needed 92 pitches to get that far and only 53 of them were strikes. That would explain the 3 walks McHugh also allowed. It marked the 5th time in 6 starts that McHugh failed to pitch 6 innings and the 6th game was just 6 IP. This doesn't' look like a breakout game for McHugh and despite an 8.87 K/9 he isn't one to grab as he's not lasting long enough to add enough strikeouts to offset other parts of his performance.
Norichka Aoki- OF- SEA- Stats- Aoki added 3 hits against RH pitching in his 3-for-5 day as the leadoff hitter for the Mariners. He also scored 3 times and knocked in 2 runs and walked once. Two of his hits ere doubles. Aoki has a respectable .286/.352/.398 slash line against RH pitching. With a .204/.275/.226 slash line against southpaws you need to watch who is starting against Seattle before putting Aoki in your lineup.
