Yoan Moncada, Boston Red Sox - Yoan Moncada notched his first two hits of his career, including a double, a RBI and two runs scored. This gives him two straight starts for the Red Sox at third and it looks like they are sticking with their guns at the position and letting him play out there every day. With full time at bats we'll see some growing pains, but most of all with his stolen base success in the minors there's a chance he steals 15 bags over the rest of the season. Keeper and dynasty leagues obviously know what they are getting with Moncada already but if you don't for whatever reason, he's as high end of a talent that there is in the baseball right now.
Albert Pujols, Los Angeles Angels - Albert Pujols launched a pair of homers and drove in three runs Saturday pushing his RBI total up to 103 on the season. He's been one of the best first basemen in baseball with a jump up in his hard hit rate that isn't quite prime Albert, but it's more in line with who he is as a hitter lately compared to last year when it was down to 33%. The numbers look a little weird when you see that because he hit 40 homers last year and hasn't eclipsed 30 homers in any of the three seasons surrounding that one. However we do see the increase in batting average as he slumped to .244 last year but is hitting in the .260's this year which makes him one of the best first basemen in baseball.
Trevor Bauer, Cleveland Indians - Trevor Bauer picked up his 10th win of the season with 8.1 innings with three earned runs. Usually a middle of the pack game like this isn't good enough to get a win when you're facing Jose Fernandez, but in this case it was as Jose got roughed up by the Indians. Bauer's strikeout totals are a little concerning not as we've seen a trend over the past 12 starts because while a 7.11 K/9 over those starts seems in line with his season totals, it's being swayed heavily by a 13 strikeout game in the middle of that. If you take out those 13 in the one game, he's got 47 in 68 innings which doesn't look all that enticing. His walk rate over these 12 starts in also up compared to the rest of the season, so it almost feels like you're playing with fire right now a bit.
Wade Davis, Kansas City Royals - After a blown save on Friday, Wade Davis closed own Saturday's game in perfect fashion striking out both batters at the he faced. The team has shown that no matter what he's going to be the closer as coming off of injury he's gotten the save chances in each of the first two games back. There's a trio of numbers holding him back from being what he was last season and that's his walk rate jumping, his strikeout rate dropping by 2 K/9, and his hard hit rate making a jump to a higher level. His pull numbers are also up for opposing hitters, but he's forcing ground balls in over half the batted balls against him this season.
Tyler Naquin, Cleveland Indians - DFS $2,900 Tyler Naquin is really cheap on Fanduel Sunday and he has a solid matchup against the Marlins and Tom Koehler. Naquin has really only been productive against righties this season hitting .316 with all 14 of his homers coming off righties as well. Adding that in with Koehler and his .329 wOBA against lefties and I like Naquin in lineups on Sunday as a cheap option.
