Christian Yelich-Marlins-OF
Christian Yelich was 2-4 with a run scored and 3 RBI in the win against the Cardinals. Yelich has his season line up to .318 with 7 HR and 48 RBI to go along with 4 SB. Yelich has always had the ability to make contact, but he is showing growth in the power department. His ISO has risen to .158, which is up from .116 a year ago. He is also pulling the ball in the air more. They are not huge increases, but they are encouraging signs for Yelich and his fantasy potential going forward. He will continue to be a source of AVG., but without elite steal totals, he needs to add power to his profile. The power outburst isn't likely this season, but he is hitting the ball hard 37% of the time, which is going to lead to a lot of good things happening. His stock is back on the rise in dynasty leagues.
Jonathan Gray-Rockies-SP
Jonathan Gray went 7 IP and gave up 0 ER on 5 H, 3 BB, and 8 K's against the Braves. Gray came into the game with a 4.67 ERA, but a 3.62 SIERA. Gray has pitched better than traditional stats indicate. Part of that is pitching half of his games in Coors, which is part of the equation. The good for Gray is his strikeout potential (25.9% K, 12% SwStr) and 49% GB. Gray has begun to throw cutter in addition to his slider, which will give him a weapon to attack left-handed hitters. The ideal situation is to start Gray on the road, but he needs to be owned either way as the strikeout potential is too good to ignore. He also has flashed the ability to hold his own at home, which will go a long way towards his keeping his overall numbers respectable.
John Lackey-Cubs-SP
John Lackey went 8 IP and gave up 4 ER on 6 H, 2 BB, and 8 K's against the Rangers. Lackey has now given up 4 ER or more in four of his last five starts. He has seen his ERA rise to 3.75. The good news is that Lackey is still getting the strikeouts, which he is up to 25.6% on the year. Lackey was pitching above his head at 37 yrs. old, but the increase in strikeouts is backed up by his 11.2% SwStr. Lackey's xFIP sits at 3.84, which is more in line with his true talent. However, when it comes to fantasy, Lackey is still going to be rosterable in mixed leagues due to his strikeouts and potential for wins playing in the National League and on the Cubs. Lackey will go to Miller Park next time out to face the Brewers.
Robbie Ray-Diamondbacks-SP
Robbie Ray went 7 IP and gave up 0 ER on 4 H, 2 BB, and 7 K's against the Dodgers. Ray came into the game with a 4.81 ERA and left with a 4.49 ERA. His advanced stats paint a different picture for the left-hander. He has a 3.80 SIERA, which is lower than his ERA. This is because he is getting unlucky with balls in play (.367 BABIP). Ray has an above average strikeout rate (26%), which shows his fantasy potential. The other problem Ray has is his inability to get right-handed batters out (.367 wOBA). If you are in a daily transaction league, Rays becomes useful because he has a 3.70 ERA with 27.9% K on the road. Ray is also someone to keep your eye on in deep leagues due to positive regression and his ability to miss bats.

Eugenio Suarez-Reds-3B
Eugenio Suarez is a player with 15 HR and 6 SB on the year. The average might not be there for him (.223), but he offers HR+SB upside everytime he steps on the field. He will also benefit from being in Great American Ballpark going up against a RHP in Matt Wisler, who gives up 37% Hard and 1.27 HR/9. The savings will allow you to roster a stud pitcher or more guys from Coors. DraftKings: $2,700
