Robbie Ray (SP-ARI): RR continued to struggle at home and against righties, allowing 5 earned runs on 8 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings against the Rays. He has allowed a wOBA north of .400 against righties and overall at home; however, Ray has also posted a 5.14 ERA with a 3.80 xFIP to go along with a 25% K-rate. The walks will prevent him from going deep into games, but he makes for a fine stream option on the road.
David Peralta (OF-ARI): Diamondbacks received a much-needed boost from David Peralta, who homered in his return from a lengthy DL stint. The positives: he was due for some positive regression in BABIP given his batted ball profile and hard hit rate, the power looks legit, and his contact rate continues to improve. The negatives: 18 of his last 20 homers have been against righties, and he has posted a .273 career wOBA against lefties. With the emergences of Brandon Drury, I wouldn't be surprised to see Chip Hale use a semi-platoon for the foreseeable future.
Trevor Story (SS-COL): Trevor Story hit a 3-run homer, his 16th of the season, to bump his OPS to .878. While a large portion of the fantasy community continues to complain about his 32% K-rate and uneven production, Story continues to accumulate plenty of elite stats and has maintained a position as the 8th ranked SS on the ESPN Player Rater. He is carrying an elite 41% hard hit rate, a solid 105 MPH average speed off bat on his homers, and quite surprisingly, a better than average 28% chase-rate. If someone in your league is buying the regression talk, scoop him up.
Yangervis Solarte (3B-SD): Yangervis hit a 3-run homer of his own, his 4th of the season, to power the Padres past the Braves. Solarte may be the best kept secret in fantasy baseball and should be owned in all deeper mixed leagues and the majority of standard ones to use as CI/U option. Solarte has maintained his excellent contact skills the past two seasons while increasing his hard hit and homer to fly ball rates, which are supported by his speed off bat numbers. Buy.
Adam Conley (SP-MIA): While Zack Greinke makes for the top play of the day, tournament players should give Adam Conley--priced at $8300 and set for a road matchup against the Twins--a long look. Adam Conley has allowed a .293 wOBA on the road, while the Twins are 25th against lefties and 20th in offensive production at home. Combine his 22% K-rate with the matchup against Pat Dean, and you have a recipe for a FanDuel bargain.
