Matt Wisler (SP-ATL) - Perhaps the Nationals are feeling a bit deflated being out of the playoffs and having to have Jonathan Papelbon as a teammate, but Wisler's seven innings of one-run ball Tuesday was still a nice stat line. He allowed five hits and posted a 4:2 K:BB in lowering his ERA from 5.40 to 5.11 in 100.1 innings. His 6.9 K/9 is solid, though to have sustained MLB success, we'll need to see his 3.9 BB/9 come down. Still, he's won each of his last two starts and is getting valuable experience heading into 2016 where he should have a rotation spot locked up barring an ugly spring. He's listed at $6,300 in Draft Kings right now, though that could go up for his last start of the year. Still, anything under $7,000 is worth looking at.
Tanner Roark (SP-WAS) - I personally feel Roark got hosed a bit this offseason with the Nationals signing Max Scherzer while not leaving Roark an open spot. All he did in 2014 was post a 2.85 ERA in 31 starts, but that apparently was not good enough. Well, after allowing two runs in 6.2 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Braves, Roark now has a 4.73 ERA this year. A 1.4 HR/9 has been the killer, and on top of that, he allowed two more homers Tuesday, the only two runs he surrendered all night. Roark has seen lefties hit him to the tune of .308 this year, so that's something to work on over the offseason. With Fister and Jordan Zimmermann possibly leaving in free agency, Roark should have a 2016 rotation spot with a solid spring, though this year given the struggles with the team as a whole, I'd hesitate to use him at $8.500 in Draft Kings.
Marcell Ozuna (OF-MIA) - As an Ozuna owner in a couple keeper leagues, I'm pretty disappointed by his 2015 season, though there's no use giving up just year. Ozuna was 2-for-4 with a double Tuesday to raise his slash to a modest .257/.304/.386. it marked his fourth consecutive two-hit gameh, and with Ozuna finishing strong, he should be a solid favorite to lock down the center field job for 2016. Ozuna has seen his BB% regress from 6.7% to 6% compared to last year, though he's improved his K% from 26.8% to 22.6%, so there's some progress. Still just 24, Ozuna has a bright future, and at a bargain rate of $2,900, he's worth a look in Draft Kings this week.
Adam Conley (SP-MIA) - If you're saying "who?", you're not alone. Conley had another excellent outing Tuesday, holding the Rays to two runs on five hits over six solid innings in a no-decision. He walked two and struck out five in lowering his ERA to 3.84. It was Conley's third consecutive start, a span of 19 innings in which he allowed just three runs on 11 hits with a 19:3 K:BB. Conley had a rough year last year with a 6.00 ERA in 60 AAA innings, but that was likely due in large part to an elbow injury. Now healthy, Conley is back to 2013 form (3.25 ERA, 8.4 K/9, 2.4 BB/9 in AA). He averages a relatively modest 91.4 mph with his fastball, but Conley has the look of a solid back-end of the rotation starter.
Odubel Herrera (OF-PHI) - Starting to like this kid. Herrera is one of the few bright spots on the Phillies right now. Batting second behind Freddie Galvis and his .302 OBP, Herrera went 4-for-4 (all singles unfortunately) with a run Tuesday to raise his slash to .293/.338/.412. He's stolen as many as 34 bases in the minors, so there is some leadoff potential here, but with a 5% BB% on the year, that's probably not happening any time soon, particularly given his K% is over 24%. Still, 15 HR, 8 SB, and a solid BA gives him plenty of future value. Herrera has played the OF exclusively, though perhaps next spring the club would consider a Herrera / Darnell Sweeney battle for second base. I think there's some profit potential in his $2,900 Draft Kings salary, as they also have him qualified at 2B.
