Lorenzo Cain (OF-KC): Lorenzo Cain should be raising more eyebrows with his breakout 2015. The burgeoning star hit 2 homers in a losing effort, going 3 for 4 with 2 runs, 2 RBI, and 1 BB. With 16 homers, 27 steals, 93 runs, 67 RBI, and a .315 AVG, Cain has turned himself into a fantasy stud. His peripherals, not to mention his speed off bat numbers, paint the picture of a legitimate breakout. He will likely go underappreciated in 2016, so if you miss out of the top OF options in the first 2 rounds, Cain could be your anchor.
Kyle Seager (3B-SEA): Kyle Seager hit his 24th homer in a losing effort against the Rockies. Every player has his own development curve, and Seager's is proving to be an extremely gradual and rather linear one. He has increased his HR/FB, most importantly, to 13%, and his 1 MPH increase in his speed off bat, not to mention his 5-foot improvement on his homer distance, backs it up. With quiet improvement against lefties in 2015, Seager's stock is slowly on the rise.
Adrian Beltre (3B-TEX): Mr. Beltre makes for a solid value play at $3600 on DraftKings today with his matchup at home against Sean Nolin. Beltre has hit lefties much better than righties the past three seasons, posting a wOBA 50 points higher against southpaws. Nolin endured his issues against righties in the minors before the callup; for instance, he struck out 23 and walked 17 righties in 35 and 2/3 innings. His heavy flyball tendencies in Arlington also bode well for Beltre.
Ryan Raburn (OF-CLE): Raburn, who has posted a .411 wOBA against lefties and has hit all 7 of his homers this year against them (including 5 at home), faces Randy Wolf at Progressive Field today. The Wolf Man, who has struggled in his return to the Majors, has allowed a wOBA north of .400 to righties the past 3--albeit truncated--seasons. At $2500 on DraftKings, Raburn makes for a very solid play in your OF.
Blake Snell (SP-TB): While the Rays aren't likely to use him down the stretch, Blake Snell, whom USA Today recently named its Minor League Player of the Year, is a name to store away for the spring. Stat-lovers and scouting-purists alike see Snell, who looks the part a 6'4", as having ace potential; he has posted a 163:53 K:BB ratio with a 1.41 ERA in 134 innings in AA and AAA; he has a fastball can touch in the mid-90's and his arsenal is already four-pitches deep; oh, and he's left-handed! The Rays have the Midas touch when it comes to developing pitching prospects, so look for Snell to help fantasy teams by mid-2016.
