Joe Ross - Joe Ross, like many others, owns the Brewers in 2015. After tossing eight shutout innings in his second career start earlier this year, Ross baffled the Brew Crew again over seven innings allowing a lone solo shot to Kris Davis. He only struck out four batters, but had a 55% groundball rate limiting what the Brewers could do with their six base hits. Ross had struggled his past two outings having not made it out of the fifth, but the quality start gives him seven quality starts out of his first 10 big league starts. He's almost all but assured a rotation spot down the stretch run as the team needs to put their best five out there every night and he and his 3.25 FIP are easily one of those five.
Nick Swisher - Nick Swisher had a huge game for the Braves Saturday in Chicago as he homered twice and drove in four, but it was still not enough to keep the Braves' road losing woes from continuing. He now has three homers in the past week for the Braves, which is more than he had in his full two healthy months with Cleveland. He's been playing sparsely now that Freddie Freeman has returned to the lineup and that likely will continue baring another injury. He isn't and shouldn't be owned in any season leagues, and maybe can be a flier tournament in DFS whenever he gets a start here and there.
Williams Perez - Williams Perez's struggles since returning from his DL stint as he's now 0-and-4 over his last four outings and has allowed 26 runs over that span. Prior to his foot injury he owned a 2.88 ERA with a 4.38 FIP in 50.0 innings and his ERA now is a 4.76 over 79.1 innings. Things are not going well for Braves' pitchers and Perez is no exception, it's safe to drop now if you hadn't gone ahead and cut ties already.
Lucas Duda - After leaving Friday's game with a back injury, Lucas Duda was place on the 15 day DL Saturday and the team recalled Dario Alvarez to the majors. After being as hot as anyone at the end of July, he's been pretty cold since, hitting just three homers with 11 RBI in the month of August. His back has reportedly been giving him trouble ever since that hot stretch ended, and his numbers reflect that. Hopefully Duda can come back healthy for the stretch run as he's in the midst of another good power season of 21 homers with a .225 ISO.
Paul Goldschimdt - No matter what way you look at it Paul Goldschmidt is the 7th highest priced first baseman which is insanity, especially coming off a two homer one stolen base performance the night before. Goldschmidt is arguably best player in baseball whose name doesn't rhyme with bout, but he sure isn't priced that way so take advantage while he's low!
