DFS Picks:
Mike Bolsinger (SP-LAD) - Right now the Mets couldn't score against a little league team. This makes Mike Bolsinger a must start in DFS leagues. In Bolsinger's last six starts, he has only allowed two home runs. During that stretch he has averaged 5.67 K/start. At home, Bolsinger owns a 2.25 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP. Due to New York's .226 BAA and 2.82 runs/game on the road, Bolsinger gets a huge DFS boost. It certainly won't hurt that his price tag is so low. As long as Bolsinger can get the Mets best hitter Steven Matz out, then he'll have no problem picking up the win. DraftKings Value Pick $6,800
Taylor Jungmann (SP-MIL) - Through his first five starts, Taylor Jungmann has been rather impressive. He has a 2.79 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP, and a 7.14 K/9. Due to this success, Jungmann would make a good DFS option against the Reds on Sunday. One could argue that picking a rookie starter in Cincinnati is very risky. Normally I would agree, but Jungmann's 3.13 GB/FB ratio is so high that Cincy's 55 home runs at Great American ballpark are much less of a concern. These 55 home runs have largely contributed to Cincinnati's 4.54 runs per game at home. Limiting the long ball will severely reduce Cincy's danger rating, thus making Jungmann a good start. DraftKings Value Pick $5,900
Stack of the Day:
Brewers - The Milwaukee Brewers love to face Mike Leake. In Leake's career against the Brewers, he has a 4.61 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP. Adam Lind, Jonathan Lucroy, Gerardo Parra, and Ryan Braun all have one career home run off of Leake. What's most impressive is that almost every Brewer in the starting lineup has a career .300 average against Leake. Lind is hitting .500 in four at bats, Lucroy is hitting .444 in 27 at bats, Parra is hitting .375 in 16 at bats, Gomez is hitting .389 in 18 at bats, and Gennett is hitting .385 in 13 at bats. With numbers like these, why wouldn't you stack against Leake?
Add Drops:
Tommy Pham (OF-STL) - In an interesting turn of events, Tommy Pham led off for the Cardinals on Saturday afternoon. Pham was recently promoted to the bigs after hitting .338 for Triple-A Memphis. He went 1 for 4 with two runs scored and a stolen base in his second career game, and managed to displace Kolten Wong from the lead off spot. In the minors, Pham's best season included 20 stolen bases and a .324 AVG. He walks a decent amount as displayed by his 10 walks in 90 plate appearances at Triple-A, and can swing for pop. If Pham continues to start he probably won't hit toward the top of the lineup. Consider his lead off opportunity on Saturday a tryout. Nonetheless, Pham is someone to keep a close on over the next few games. At the time of his call up, he had five home runs, six stolen bases, 14 runs scored, and 21 RBIs in 80 at bats. He has a ton of potential in the loaded Cardinals lineup, and should produce if he can find his way toward the top of the lineup.
Clint Robinson (OF-WAS) - Clint Robinson is developing into an absolute weapon for the Nats. Through 128 at bats, Robinson has four home runs, 15 RBIs, and 22 runs scored. On Saturday, he went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and a walk. Over his last 75 at bats, Robinson has 22 hits and a 1.20 BB/K ratio. He has two home runs in his last four games, and an RBI or run scored in seven of his last ten games. Pick Robinson up in fantasy leagues and you won't be sorry. He provides offensive production on a daily basis, and will continue to flourish as his at bat total rises.
