2 Kris Bryant CHC 3B A 1.045 OPS this year and 5 HR in last 7 G. Pushing for #1 spot on this list.
3 Gregory Polanco PIT OF A 4-hit game Tuesday lifts OPS to 1.061. He's ready.
4 Javier Baez CHC SS A Inexplicably hitting .147 with 3 HR through 102 at-bats. Have to think he breaks out, right?
5 Oscar Taveras STL OF A No HR yet this month, but OPS sits at a respectable .867 for the year.
6 Carlos Correa HOU SS A .313 after a five-hit game recently, but this RH hitter batting just .129 vs LHP?
9 Billy Hamilton CIN OF A Seems healthy now after being hit in the hand. Will drop off this list next week.
10 Nick Castellanos DET 3B A- 4 HR in 110 AB, but the 0.14 EYE is concerning. Will drop off this list next week.
11 Francisco Lindor CLE SS A- Off to a decent start at .297/.364/.464 but no threat to Cabrera just yet.
12 Joc Pederson LAD OF A- Last update had him at .207 vs. LHP. He's now at .255, so no platoon player here.
Pitchers
1 Archie Bradley ARI SP A Uh oh...dealing with a "mild" flexor strain in his elbow. Don't expect him back this month.
3 Noah Syndergaard NYM SP A Tagged for 4 ER and 8 H in 6 IP last time out, but K:BB was nice - 10:0.
5 Kevin Gausman BAL SP A- Missed time with an illness. 26:14 K:BB in 26 IP, so needs to refine control/command.
6 Robert Stephenson CIN SP A- Improving in last 2 GS: 11 IP, 0 ER, 14:3 K:BB. 10.9 K/9 on the year.
7 Andrew Heaney MIA SP A- 2.35 ERA in 46 IP, so just a phone call away once the Marlins need another starter.
8 Jonathan Gray COL SP A- 2 ER or less in each of his last 5 starts, so should see him later this year.
10 Mark Appel HOU SP A- Back in High-A and reportedly not doing well with org's "piggybacking" starters strategy.
11 Alex Meyer MIN SP B+ Struggling a bit with 9 ER allowed in last 8.2 IP over two starts.
13 Lucas Sims ATL SP B+ K:BB is an unimpressive 26:13 in 42.2 IP, so he has work to do.
14 Lucas Giolito WAS SP B+ 6 1-hit innings last time out and no more than 3 ER allowed in a start all year.
