6 Manny Machado BAL SS A 1.061 OPS before
dislocating kneecap. Fortunately sounds worse than it is. Will be out a week or so.
46 Jurickson Profar TEX SS B .205 in 73 at-bats while dealing with sprained wrist. 1.00 EYE is encouraging.
47 Jose Iglesias BOS SS B Won't play much or likely hit much at all either. More a 2012 guy.
49 Christian Colon KC SS B Was an overdraft at #4 overall but should be a solid 2B/SS. .417 avg in May.
50 Jemile Weeks OAK 2B B On a tear and now batting .352/.448/.545 with 4 SB. Timetable may be July.
8 Manny Banuelos NYY SP A- Was the talk of spring camp but now he's really scuffling - 15:11 K:BB in 21 IP.
9 Martin Perez TEX SP A- Last year's 4.5 BB/9 has improved to 3.9 so far this year. Needs to keep that momentum going.
11 Zack Britton BAL SP A- 2.93 ERA through May 6 and should drop off this list next week due to reaching 50 IP.
13 Jake Odorizzi KC SP A- Red hot through 5 starts - 2.42 ERA and 38:5 K:BB in 26 innings.
14 Drew Pomeranz CLE SP A- 1.27 ERA and 13.3 K/9 through 6 GS. Should get promotion to AA within a month.
National League
1 Bryce Harper WAS OF A+ Not really much more to say here other than Low-A pitching is like BP to him.
21 Billy Hamilton CIN 2B B+ 23 SB in 29 G, but rest of his game is slumping - .207/.290/.279.
25 Yasmani Grandal CIN C B+ 7 HR in 97 at-bats with .968 OPS and 0.92 EYE. Looking very polished.
26 Derek Norris WAS C B+ .137 with 2 XBH in 51 at-bats. Brutal start, but don't panic unless he's hitting this come June.
42 Paul Goldschmidt ARI 1B B Can't ignore the ridiculous numbers any longer - 12th homer came on Monday.
23 Randall Delgado ATL SP B+ 2.51 ERA through 6 GS, then a strong 10-K effort on Tuesday.
24 Zach Lee LAD SP B+ Just 3 K in last 11 IP but overall very good - 1.17 ERA and 8.2 K/9.
25 Rubby De La Rosa LAD SP B+ 7-2-1-0-3-8 on Tues. Now has 2.10 ERA and 11.5 K/9 on the year.
28 Zack Wheeler SF SP B+ Inconsistent, but 34:9 K:BB in 27 IP is impressive. Former #6 overall pick.
29 Arodyz Vizcaino ATL SP B+ Dealing with a back injury, so innings have been limited. 1.47 WHIP should improve when 100%.
