American League
4 Kyle Drabek TOR SP A Probably has a better arm than most Jays on the current staff. A June debut seems likely.
5 Neftali Feliz TEX SP A He's the new Texas closer, but Frank Francisco still looms. Long term? Guessing RP.
6 Jeremy Hellickson TB SP A- 5-4-2-1-1-6 in AAA opener. Should see him once a starter (Niemann?) goes down in Tampa.
10 Jacob Turner DET SP A- Spectacular debut - 5-2-0-0-0-7. 2009 first rounder is going to be special.
11 Casey Crosby DET SP A- Has yet to pitch due to elbow soreness. Doesn't appear serious, but he IS a TJ survivor.
2 Carlos Santana CLE C A May have to hit .800 to get to CLE earlier than June, but is at .450 w/ 4 HR after 20 ab's.
3 Desmond Jennings TB OF A Tallied 52 XBH and an equal # of SB last year. Year delayed by ankle injury but we'll see him soon.
4 Jesus Montero NYY C A Come July, will he and Posada be splitting DH and C duties? I wouldn't rule it out.
13 Brett Wallace TOR 1B A- 4-for-19, but 2 are HR's. Overbay could be deadline bait with Wallace now a 1B.
26 Tyler Flowers CHW C B+ 1.113 OPS through 5 games. EYE dipped in AAA last year, so watch that metric early.
National League
1 Stephen Strasburg WAS SP A+ 5 IP, 8 K in pro debut. June 1 MLB debut appears likely.
3 Aroldis Chapman CIN SP A Hit triple digits more than once in debut in striking out 9 in less than 5 IP.
7 Christian Friedrich COL SP A- 12.0 K/9 a year ago, and despite youth, he's shown enough to warrant a potential 2010 debut.
8 Madison Bumgarner SF SP A- Real concerns here - AAA debut: 3 IP, 11 H. Mechanical or injury?
15 Shelby Miller STL SP A- 4-2-0-0-3-7, so watch the command this year, but has No. 1 SP upside.
1 Jason Heyward ATL OF A Rumor has it he's off to a good start. There will be growing pains, but NL ROY is likely.
5 Pedro Alvarez PIT 3B A 1-for-11 in last 3 G, but had 3 HR in first 2. Should see him in June or July.
6 Buster Posey SF C A 9-for-21 with 4 XBH to start AAA season. Looking to prove SF signing Molina wasn't a good decision.
7 Mike Stanton FLA OF A 1.500 OPS through 5 games. Yeah he's going to be a beast.
12 Domonic Brown PHI OF A- Potential 2010 starter…just like to see last year's 78% CT% up a few notches.
