4 Justin Smoak TEX 1B A .262 August is an improvement, but not seeing the power we'd expect yet (31.5 AB/HR).
8 Jesus Montero NYY C A- .337/.389/.562 will be his final line this year as he's out for the year with a broken finger.
9 Matt LaPorta CLE OF A- .333 in last 10 games and a .996 OPS in August, but the Indians have no room for that?
10 Carlos Santana CLE C A- .346 with 1 HR and 13 BB in 15 games this month. .948 OPS and EYE >1 on the year.
11 Dustin Ackley SEA OF A- Leadoff man with pop and SB ability. Think Johnny Damon, but better.
30 Jason Knapp CLE SP B He's back after a bout with shoulder fatigue. 118 K in 91 IP on the year.
32 Jeanmar Gomez CLE SP B Last 4 GS: 3 ER and 26 K over 22 1/3 IP. Still very young for his level.
33 Matt Moore TAM SP B 1.91 ERA since the end of
May and an impressive 156 K in 110 2/3 IP.
35 Dan Hudson CHW SP B On level #4 this year after beginning in Low-A. 2.28 ERA on thie year for this breakout performer.
38 Carlos Carrasco CLE SP B 2 ER and 16:2 K:BB over last 2 GS should have him on the brink of a look-see.

5 Cameron Maybin FLA OF A Has hit at least .320 in each of last three months. A bit surprised a the lack of SBs - 7.
6 Mike Stanton FLA OF A .184 in last 10 games with an alarming 124 K in 111 games on the year.
17 Donovan Tate SD OF A- 6.25 million bonus gets it done. Tools are off the charts, so we'll see how that translates.
18 Josh Vitters CHC 3B A- .244 in High-A as a teenager isn't a huge concern, but 0.16 EYE certainly is.
19 Logan Morrison FLA 1B A- .324 this month and overall, you have to like a 1.42 EYE. Power will come.
1 Stephen Strasburg WAS SP A You may have heard about this guy. Doubtful we'll see him this year, but next? Most likely.
2 Madison Bumgarner SF SP A 1.87 ERA over last 10 starts, but strikeout rate has dipped. Coud be shut down soon due to innings.
7 Mat Latos SD SP A- Hits hard by Cardinals on Friday, but not necessarily due to sore wrist. Cards are fairly decent.
9 Tim Alderson PIT SP A- Hit hard in last start after a six-inning no-hitter. We'll see him in 2010.
22 Zack Wheeler SF SP B+ Rated as top HS SP prospect in 2009 draft. The rich get richer.
