American League
15 Chris Carter OAK 1B B+ 34 HR and excellent 55% XBH%.127 K in 117 games but we'll overlook that for now.
19 Carlos Triunfel SEA SS B .357 since the end of June. 6 HR in July is probably an aberration but perhaps a 15 HR guy in time?
24 Max Ramirez TEX C B .233 for Indians but hip injury has him out until later this month. Long-term role uncertain.
26 Elvis Andrus TEX SS B .330 July but just .238 so far in August. 47 SB on the year looks quite attractive to fantasy owners.
38 Wes Hodges CLE 3B B 5-for-39 (all singles) in August so probalby looking at 2009 for his debut.
1 David Price TAM SP A Ascension to No. 1 on this list was inevitable. Joins AAA Durham in what could be a brief stopover.
3 Neftali Feliz TEX SP A Averaging 5 innings a start with an 11.4 K/9. Looking like the prize of the Teixeria deal.
5 Rick Porcello DET SP A Impressive 2.84 ERA but still like to see more strikeouts - 4.8 K/9 since ASB.
7 Trevor Cahill OAK SP A- 2.19 ERA in 37 AA innings though we'd like to see that 33:19 show some improvement.
8 Wade Davis TAM SP A- 2.32 ERA in five AAA starts though overall K:BB still just 2:1 after last year's 3:1.
National League
37 Gorkys Hernandez ATL OF B Just .243 since the end of June - line down to .279/.359/.421 with 18 SB and 5 HR.
39 Josh Vitters CHC 3B B Has redeemed himself in rookie ball - 337/.373/.512 there though 31:10 K:BB is a concern.
41 Jose Tabata PIT OF B 4-for-17 since returning from a hamstring injury. Has a lot of critics and a lot to prove.
48 Lou Marson PHI C B .319/.434/.423 in a breakout year and now playing for team USA. Phils catcher of the future.
49 Pablo Sandoval SF C B .339/.367/.556 in AA, so impressive Cal league numbers weren't a fluke.
26 Jordan Zimmerman WAS SP B Went just 2 innings on Tuesday. Hopefully it's just an issue of his innings being limited.
30 Jhoulys Chacin COL SP B 6 runs in last start after 4 in preivous 4. 2.16 ERA and minor league leading 16 wins.
34 Colin Balester WAS SP B Hasn’t lasted more than 6 innings in a start but has pitched well enough to stick around.
35 Chris Perez STL RP B He's getting save chances in STL but Adam Wainwright will take over soon. Great LT keeper.
36 Jeremy Jeffress MIL SP B 13 BB over last 3 GS so he's got work to do despite impressive 11.6 K/9.
