Fantistics Baseball Customer Testimonials
In our 2004 season ending
survey we asked subscribers if they were interested in submitting a
testimonial that we could publish:
There can be
absolutely no doubt that Fantistics offers a significant edge for
all levels of fantasy baseball participants. If you want to get the
$ it's totally absurd not to make the investment in the Fantistics
baseball package. (Mike Terner)
Fantistics is
encyclopedia of baseball stat knowledge and projections, a virtual
heaven for stat geeks. It's like playing golf with a baseball bat
if you're not using Fantistics. Don't leave home with out it :)
(Clarence Turner)
Of the six
season's with Fantistics, I have won 3 championships and tied for
another. It has become increasingly difficult the past two seasons
because the league just keeps bidding me up at auctions thinking
that everyone I bid on is going to become a superstar. (Robert
Baron)
Your draft
software is excellent. It give the owner a huge advantage to start
the season. I can remember many times during the draft smiling and
shaking my head as my competitors selected players from the lower
half of the VAM rankings in the second, third and fourth rounds
while I had great choices to build my team with. Another great
feature of your draft day software is it give you a complete list of
players at a glance. No flipping pages or opening binders, all the
info you need on one page. Thanks. (John Ciaramella)
Fantisitcs is the
most well-formulated and organized service I know of. If you
are a serious fantasy baseball gamer, this service far exceeds it's
cost in value. (Frank Redman)
Fantisitics is a
great service. The draft tools are great and in my opinion one of
the best features are the Daily Emails. No need to search around to
find injury status, even minor injuries, as they are ALWAYS
covered. This is the third year I have used the service and I will
continue to use it for the forseeable future. (0000000351 Anonymous)
The VAM
methodology is the key to drafting a successful team. Sometimes I
feel sorry for other owners who don't understand that most
outfielders are a dime a dozen while a MIF with roughly the same
stats is key to getting that one or two points to push you to the
top of your league. I tried creating my own VAM method before
discovering your site, but your software makes it so easy to
use...it's well worth the money! (Kent Starr)
My teams always
did well, but I never won. Since using your service, I've now won
back-to-back titles. The biggest difference? Your draft prep is
second to none. (Luke Strzegowski)
I think your
service is excellent, starting from day one. I think the drafting
software is great because I can customize it to my league. I look
forward to the daily reports, I think the MLB rotation tracker is
great and I rely heavily on my player tracker. Being able to track
more than one team is great for tracking potential pickups. The
pitching logs are great for looking at who is hot and good to start
or pick up. Keep up the great work! (Joey Keenan)
The best
preparation site for Draft Day. (David Kopacz)
I've thought of
myself as baseball knowledgeable for years, but I've never done
better than third in our league until now. With the help of
Fantistics I clinched the league title with three weeks left in the
season! (Rick Drennen)
Like i said
before stay the course this is the best site out there, no other
company gives the fantasy player more tools to choose from (john
dorsey)
Since subscribing
to Fantistics in the 2002 season, I've never finished out of the
money. Count me in for 2005. (Chuck Boteler)
I love your
service, for the price its unbelievable. I have had success after 5
seasons with you guys and the couple poor seasons I had were due to
injury which of course we can not predict. Keep up the great work
and see you next season! (Eric DiLullo)
The information
from Fantistics is invaluable in trying to stay competitive. With
the amount of information that is out there, you guys continue to
sift through it all and provide what we need to know when we need to
know it!! Hopefully we can get Anthony Perri on the presidential
ticket in '08. (Chris Rau)
I loved the
weekly rotation/lineup grader. It was a great tool that helped me
put together my weekly lineup. I also couldn't wait to read the
daily e-mails. (Morris Milillo)
Several owners in
my NL only league used Fantistics in the past. The joke was that
fantistics is the "steriods" of fantasy baseball. I wasn't happy
with my other service, so I decided to try fantistics (without
letting the other owners know). Both first and second place
finishers (including me) are "users" & I'm convinced and will use
it again next season. If it wasn't for Mark Prior's injury and
under performance - I would have won by a mile. (0000000185

"The service is
so good, I refuse to tell friends about it! Sorry for the lack of
word of mouth..." (Steven Scharf)
Since the 4 years
I've been subscribing to Fantistics I've finished 2nd, 1st, 2nd, and
3rd. Thanks to Fantictics which allows us to be a contender every
year! (Mike Beimel)
I have won the
league 2 out of 3 years that I have been in competition. Attribute
MOST on the edge to FANTISTICS!! Great product at a reasonable
price! (Robert Connell)
Fantasy Baseball
is hard to keep on top of on a daily basis, but with the help of
Baseball Fantistics its very easy! (Darren Litwin)
I am the FIRST
back-to-back winner in or league (After missing the playoffs my
first two years in the league). And guess how many years I've been
with Fantistics? TWO. Batting 1.000, so I guess you know how it
rates in my book. (Jeff Taylor)
Fantistics
Baseball is the best product available on the Web and offers the
best value for the dollar. Thank you. (Allan Price)
Fantistics cannot
be beat! You would have a hard time finding a more thorough stat
service. Fantistics is there pre-season and every day until you
hold the title in your hand! Fantistics is Fantastic! (Matt Wilson)
14 day pitching
projections also very useful as a quick reference schedule guide.
Love your service. See you again in 2005. (Donald Lindsay)
A terrific wealth
of information provided season long. (robert witkes)
Best Draft and
Preparation site bar none. Your balance of stats and instincts
matches my tendencies very well. (Pablo Nogueras)
COMMENTARY WAS
NOT ONLY INFORMATIVE BUT INTELECTUALLY STIMULATING (Roger Stewart)
a valuable
resource that helped me win both my leagues. draft software was easy
to use and the daily updates insured that I stayed on top of
everything. (0000000040 Anonymous)
Anthony Perri is
fantastic (0000000342 Anonymous)
Anthony Perri is
the best! (0000000186 Anonymous)
As a first year
subscriber I was extremely pleased with the overall service. The
projections were pretty much bang on and the daily updates and
prospect updates where very useful. Our league is extremely
competitive (15 teams, 4x4, $280 salary cap, 14 hitters, 11
pitchers, AL + NL East + STL and PHI). Despite significant injuries
to M. Giles, M. Mora, V. Wells, F. Catalanotto, B. Penny, Z. Day, R.
Soriano and significant underperformance by V. Wells ($30) and B.
Colon ($21), my team still managed over 300 HRs, over 1100 RBI, .287
average, over 100 SBs, sub 4 ERA, sub 1.320 WHIP, over 85 wins and
over 63 saves. My point total is around 100/120 (53/60 Hitting and
47/60 Pitching) which is the highest in our leagues histroy. Based
on your projections I was able to assemble a solid pitching staff at
a reasonable salary (Colon $21, Beuhrle $15, Penny $14, Sabathia
$16, D. Willis $14, Glavin $7, Z. Day $2, J. Nathan $21, S. Kline
$1). I was able to also pick up good hitters at reasonable salaries
as well (P. Konerko $17, C. Blake $5, T. Bautista $6, J. Estrada $7,
M. Bradely $9). It helped also that I was able to resign M. Mora
($11), M. Giles ($4), M. Young ($11) and G. Sheffield ($30). Based
on your prospect updates I was able to pick up D. Wright (NYM - 3B)
from the free agent pool for the last couple of months of the season
and he has been teremendous. As you can imagine, with the exception
of the first two weeks of the season I have been leading the league
and there has been very little need for significant changes. However
I still found your daily updates, analysis and news extremely
valuable and informative. Keep up the good work. I am already
looking forward to next season. Nader (0000000091 Anonymous)
As in all fantasy
leagues the more information you can gather and digest the better
chance you will have at winning. This website is one of the best!
The pitching rotation is the best I have found. I will be back on
top next year and fantistics will be right there with me! Thank You
(Dean Badger)
baseball
manager......has been around for 15 years. until this year it was
sponsored by espn. it would be fantastic if you could somehow
provide data keyed to its scoring system. if you have any
interest....i can send you the grf, game resolutiuon formula. Thank
you........your site is great Dr Smith (0000000241 Anonymous)
Basically I am
very happy with your service. I had 3 great drafts that carried me
into the second half, then all 3 teams tanked big time. Injuries
killed me.....Thanks for all of your good work. See you next year.
(Robert Goodman)
by using your
preseason analysis, I was able to dominate my draft. Unfortunately
I had Glaus and Ordonez, so it affected me HRs and RBIs, so I only
led the league in 3 of 5 offensive categories. I will definitely
use your service again in the future. (Don Boyce)
Considering Mark
Prior was my No.1 draft pick and I still finished in 1st place
despite my coaching blunders along the way, it's been a fun and
interesting year. Thanks for your help. (mike reid)
Daily news
definitely gave me a jump on other players in my leagues! (Ken Foy)
Dedicated staff
of professionals make being a baseball fan that much more
enjoyable. Oh yeah, and they will help you win CHAMPIONSHIPS in
your silly, possessed and manic driven quest to rule the world of
fantasy baseball. (Jerry Heimbigner)
definitely a
useful aid, especially the daily insights, now if only the
pre-season software was Mac compatible (Vic POLIZOS)
Enjoyed all the
info and will be back for next season. Purchased the football
product for the 1st time simply based on what I saw from baseball. (jeff
taylor)
Even though it
still comes down to the individual fantasy player making the
decisions, Fantastics offers a very valuable combination of tools:
individual expert analysis, VAM calculations, and accurate probable
starting pitcher predictions. (Michael Medlock)
F&%# the
Yankees!!!! (roger stanley)
Fantistics gave
me that extra edge to help the Splendid Splinters grab the pennant
in my 5x5 league. (Dale Grogan)
Fantistics has
been invaluable to my success over the past four years. I had
previously (pre-Fantistics) won my league several times, but never
before with the domination I have experienced in the past three
years. (Lamar Stout)
Fantistics helps
me be prepared and remain competitive in my main group of very
informed competitors. (Ken Cain)
Fantistics
Insider Baseball is my primary source for setting my lineups each
week in my two Ultra-style rotisserie leagues. The Daily News is an
essential tool for tracking the health and performance of players
on my teams. I'd really like to see a dial-up interface added to
the site for modem. Due to the amount of graphics used, the site is
unusable of a dial-up modem. This bites me everytime I travel away
from home. (Bret Pleines)
Fantistics is
great, I have always had problems drafting in the later rounds. I
would pick random guys i knew nothing about. These tools allowed me
to draft deep surprising most of my competitors. This is my 4th
season and in my previous seasons I placed at the bottom three of
eleven teams. This year I'm currently in second i held on to first
for a long time but with key injuries and some underperforming
players towards the later half i'm still happy with my results..
it's all about fantistics and winning the cash.....thanks guys.
(0000000203 Anonymous)
Fantistics led me
to a championship in 2002. Then for some reason I did not reorder
and finished out of the money. This past year I made some bad moves
and realized that I needed to order Fantistics, I didn't cash but I
have set myself up for next year with Fantistics Help. (Dave Hanson)
Fantistics Rocks!

Fantistics was
great except for the High Tout they Put on Kevin Millwood and Matt
Mantei. Rob from Mesa (0000000200 Anonymous)
Thank you, You
are a great source and a site I visit almost often. You have grown
and improved every year to a point were I cannot see myself starting
a season without you. I still get on your site on the off season as
long as you let me and look forward to the email stating you are
starting up for the new year. My last two years I have not
done well in the league because of under performance and injuries.
The draft of course is the biggest key to the success of my team and
your information is invaluable. My co-players don't trade so I must
pull nuggets out of the free agent pool. So this is were your site
comes into play the most. Searching for the hot, up and coming, or
just got back into action players. Thanks again and look forward
to your Spring email. Joe (Joe Wollyung)
First year in
three I had to say "Wait until next year!" (0000000313 Anonymous)
found preseason
rankings very useful especially since they were updated frequently.
(Dan Fomich)
Good stuff.
Definitely gave me an edge at the draft and kept me apprised of free
agent player performance. I did well with in-season trades, and the
perspective your service offered made my analysis of all in-season
moves that much better. Thanks for helping to plant my squad in 1st
place for my league. (Mike H)
Great Job!!!!
Thanks. It would be nice to see a section subscribers can contribute
to messenger boards, And a weekly or monthly chat session with one
of you analyst's. Once again thank you for a great year, enjoy the
offseason ...You guys deserve it....... (chris Farinaccio)
Great overall
site! It's obvious to me that the staff truly cares about it's
subscribers and doesn't have to "preach" to get their points
across. Very refreshing to have the analysts look at different
approaches to managing teams -- weighing the pros and cons of each
"style." Always fun to hear how the writers are doing in their own
leagues as well. The site is well worth the cost and provides
insightful, down-to-earth advice and commentary. Kudos to you all!
(Bill Tucker)
Great product.
All the content was very informative. The Baseball Daily email
feature was always timely and very helpfull. The VBD software was a
huge contributor to my 1st place finish. (Mike Chase)
Great service,
consistent all through the year. There is no way I could have won my
very competitive league without your service. (Jim Garrity)
Great site, well
worth the money just for the pre draft rankings. Best I've ever
finished following your rankings. (Brian Kelly)
Have drafted
young players (minor league) based on Aaron Gleeman's rec the last
few years since we have been in this league. We have a $6 Mauer and
V Martinez. We traded one young player this year Harden. We have a
$6 Texiera, we own the rights to Delmon Young as well. We also had
to trade A Rios to get K Foulke during the year. Continue your
upgrades. I like to use forum sites which you do not have. It might
be something you think about. I realize the cost would have to go up
again but i believe it would be well worth it. You might also
consider giving some weekly updates during the winter, after the
winter meetings etc. I don't remember if you have ever done that in
the past. All in all we will be back next year. Thanks for your
wonderful product, without it we probably don't win the championship
this year. (dan finnegan)
Highly
informative, both daily emails and website. Used the preseason
dollar value extensively before and during my auctions which was
very useful. (Randy Bressler)
I believe
fantistics is the best news and useful information you can get as a
fantasy baseball owner. Before I started subscribing to your
service I consistently finished at the bottom. In the five years I
have used this service I have won twice and should have won this
year if not for players underperforming (Arod, Pedro, Mulder, Boone)
and key injuries (Haladay, Pineiro).....I appreciate all the hard
work or your staff and can't wait until draft day 2005. (Rodney
Knights)
I believe that
the information from Fantistics helped my ordinary AL team improve
during the season into 2nd place. (Gary Skubal)
I can't thank you
guys enough for the valuable insight you've provided over the course
of this season. Even if I hadn't been able to lead Team Cat Attack
to victory in my group's first fantasy baseball season, I still
would have felt that the assistance and analysis that you guys
provide to be invaluable to my team's success. I definitely felt
that the information that you provided gave me a leg up on the
competition and put me in a position to make moves well in advance
of the other owners. I mean, how else would I have known or heard
about The Mighty Chone Figgins!? Thanks again gentleman. (Deven
Morgan)
I continue to be
amazed at the amount of both statistcial evidence and the written
word that you produce on a daily basis. It all adds up to a lot of
very good help for my fantasy squad ! (mark Dooling)
I found the daily
reports quite useful. Although our league rules don't allow daily
or weekly changes, the ongoing comments made for more informative
drafting and trading. Thank you for being there and I plan on
subscribing again next season. (0000000290 Anonymous)
I found the
player grader helpful each week . Especially the daily e-mails
showing ratings. I appreciate the help. (David Eidell)
I get Great info
from Insiderbaseball that I have been able to translate into success
against my opponents. (Michael Siefert)
I had great fun
with my baseball this season and you were a big part of it. Thanks
(Barry Deal)
I have been
extremely happy with Fantistics so far. The draft day software is
very easy to use and provides a very high degree of flexibility that
allows me to tailor the projections to my various leagues. The
in-season news and performance figures are also quite helpful in
spotting trends. I'll definitely be back again next year. Keep up
the great work! (0000000026 Anonymous)
I have been in
one private league for 3 years. 2nd the first year, and won years 2
and 3. This year, with Fantistics I ran away at the end. It was
close for 4 1/2 months, but then it all clicked. But what I liked
most about Fantisitics was that it was really fun. The pathos,
sarcasm, humor, intensity, dedication, knowledge, background,
thoroughness and conviction were very enjoyable while also being
helpful. I really liked all of the correspondents. Everyone was a
little different, and all brought interesting insights. I'll be
back for sure, whether I am playing Fantasy baseball or not. I
really enjoyed the daily emails. Lou was so incredibly prolific,
Jeff Ackerman is a total kick, Aaron Gleeman seems to have
incredible research on minor leaguers, and all the other
contributors were helpful and entertaining. (Jim Craig)
I have been
playing high stakes fantasy baseball with a group of 12 close
friends for 9 years. Before I signed on with you I had won once out
of the seven seasons. I have won the last 2 handily. I feel I have a
huge edge with your product. KUDOS. P.S. I noticed you are not a big
Tejada fan as is evident by his C grading the past 2 years. Are you
a believer now? I have him for a buck and love it! (George
Christopher)
I have been
playing Rotisserie League Baseball and this is the first time I used
Fantistics ...for the first time I won the pennant! (Michael Dugan)
I have won 4 or
last 5 Baseball Leagues. I have one 2nd in FB, but that is because
my guys sustain major injuries every year. Lilke this year. 3 team
keeper league. I and R Williams frozen. Also have Duece, S Smith, K
Winslow and McNair!!! I should play the lottery with there numbers!
(anthony hicks)
I haven't used
other services, so I'm not sure how they compare, but I do enjoy
yours and find it extremely helpful to the management of my team. I
don't have as much time as I'd like for roto, so I need a service I
can trust. (Seth Hieken)
I havent followed
baseball since 1993 and i got into a 16 team league this year and i
came in second in my division and in the playoffs finished 3rd
overall in the league after the playoffs. Props go out to you since
i have no idea who was who in baseball. (Don Williams)
I like your
website and love your pre-season analysis. My team was decimated by
injuries which could not have been foreseen by your staff. Overall
I benefited by your insights throughout the season, I just could not
climb out of the hole because of early and prolonged injuries my
team suffered ie. Mauer, Vina, G. Anderson, Guiell, and Glaus.
Thanks, I'll be back. (Scott Suydam)
i liked the new
way to pick and choose stats on predictions it was much more user
friendly (Ed Rada)
I lost my world
series week by a score of 321-317. On the final day, Sunday, Guillen
was suspended, Hafner and Martinez (Clev) were both rested---the
only thing you could have done better was to have forecast those
events. I owe coming as close as I did to your daily email updates.
Invaluable. Thanks. Bob (Robert Stein)
I love Fantastics!
It is very helpfull and I look forward to each year more! The
insight's are so much a part of my every day routine, I just wish my
GD Players would freaking perform and I would win more as opposed to
choking down the stretch like my Cubbies! Thank you Fantastic and
staff! (Chris Karnuth)
I love it.
Looking forward to next year, as are my Cubs. (David M)
I love the site
and the software! This was my most successful year yet, the first
winning more than one league in a season! You guys are an invaluable
resource! (Mark Dufresne)
I picked up Jason
Bay and Miquel Cabrara last year based on player prospects. They
sure did help (although I screwed up trading Bay at the end).
(Russell Andorka)
I really enjoy
the draft software. (0000000110 Anonymous)
I really liked
the draft software was real helpful in draft. Got a steal at second
base with belliard. (Keith Cotton)
I think
Fantistics is a great overall package! The draft projections and
cheat sheets alone are worth the price of subscription, but you also
get all the tools on the website and the daily emails......it's
fantastic and a lot of fun!! Highly recommended!! (Patrick Sullivan)
I think that if I
did not have your service, then I would definitely not have done as
well as I did. My main league (private), I came in third, and I am
very happy with that finish. (2 points out of 1st in a 4X4
Rotissierie league) (MacDonald Brian)
I think the
website and daily email are usefull tools. I know they can not
predict injuries, which hurt me this year. I managed to botch my
draft this year by not sticking to my plan. Bad idea on my part.
(Christopher Andress)
I think your
Draft Day Section is Wonderful and you do a great job of delivering
the daily news. Thanks! (0000000796 Anonymous)
I think your
draft/projections are especially helpful. The daily information is
quite useful, with the exceptions noted above. The writing in these
is witty, interesting, helpful, and generally very well done,
considering what I suppose are nasty deadlines. Thanks for an
enjoyable year. (tom ulrich)
I thought you
guys did a great job this year! I looked forward to your input on
the up and coming stars and made some wise pick ups along way based
on your advice. Thanks. Thanks again for a great year and I look
forward to using you once again next year. Thank you, Gary Redding
(Gary Redding)
I truly believe
your system is the best around. It's provided me with the tools to
be very successful from the draft and through the season. I find my
biggest enemy is my own patience (or lack of it). Every year as I
parse through my season statistics, I notice a few names of players
that I had at one time and should not have dropped, but typically
held on only for a few games. Typically, near the all-star break, I
scout the rest of the league for possible trades for early-season
under-performers. This year it seemed I had all of them ...
Delgado, Vazquez, Bagwell, Huff. I held all of them and waited for
it to kick in. I went from 5th place at the break, to 1st place on
the last day of the season. That's cutting it a little close.
Thanks. (Lloyd Worth)
I use fantistics
for my baseball leagues & football leagues. I feel your service
gives me a huge edge in my leagues. Keep up the good work. Lou
Faragalli (Louis Faragalli)
I use it every
day! (Jamie MacDonald)
I use this site
to set my lineup every week. Thanks! (Jody Moulton)
I used the draft
software and drafted Rolen 1st and was able to trade him at the
All-Star break for Schilling and Wiggington which moved me from 4th
to 2nd place. The only reason I did not win was injuries and the
1st place guy made two key trades Sexton and Giambi both a week
before they both got hurt and got Hafner, Mulder, Ponson, Tino
Martinez and Rollins. Loved the site and can't wait to next
year. JOHN (John Corpor)
i used your
information on a daily basis and went from fourteenth place in 2003
to seventh in 2004. I had a playoff place secured with one week left
and lost out because I got no stats from my cubs and marlins players
due to the hurricane. Missed the playoffs by one point. Your info
kept me a step ahead. (Ron Clark)
I won my league
for the 7th time in 19 years. This was the first year that I used
your service and it really helped me when I had an incredible string
of injuries (Ordonez, Giambi, Mondesi, Santiago, Nixon, Quinlan,
Sweeney, Hudson, Kim, etc.) You kept me informed and gave me the
tools I needed to make decisions in a timely manner. Thanks. (Ira
Sulzer)
I won my leagues
because of Fantistics and my obsessive personality. I didn't win so
much because of my draft, though it was better then anyone elses. I
won because I was always one step ahead thanks to Fantisics. Thanks,
see you next year. (Tom Duggan)
I wouldn't allow
you to use my name because your service is so good I don't want my
fellow owners to know how I win almost every year. (You may publish
this anonymously but please don't use my name. I really mean what
the quote said,) (Michael)
I'm a big fan of
your service after my 1st year (and 1st championship). I'm in a
league of very competitive and intelligent owners and I believe that
Fantistics provided me the information to help me be constantly one
step ahead of my fellow owners. (Jon Kaplan)
I'm going with
you again. You gave me the edge I needed to compete successfully.
Thanks guys. (Lawrence Silverman)
I've been using
your website for 3 years now. This was the first year I really used
the day to day management tools. It really made me take a look at
the way I managed my team. I finally in first, I truly believe your
website made the difference. Thanks! (Frank Pacific)
I've been with
Fantistics for 5 years and have finished first in my league 4 out of
5 years. If you are looking for the knowledge that will give you an
edge in your roto league, look no further than fantistics.com!!!!
See you next year Steve (Steve Lieberstein)
I've been with
you guys two years and have finished first both times. It's as
simple as that. -- Kurt (0000000288 Anonymous)
I've used other
information services. Your analysts are current, clever, clear--and
worth the money. Your "support"--not often required--is
extraordinary and forthcoming. My participation in fantasy baseball
dates back to its creation as Rotisserie baseball before the
extensive development of stat services! Thanks guys. (Ray Werner)
If only Rolen and
Soriano would have stayed healthy it would have been much
different. Using your VAM I picked Rolen in the 2nd and 3rd rounds
and was very pleased with his performance. Might not have grabbed
him so highly using other sources. (Shane Muchmore)
In a daily
transaction league, the news updates on players was invaluable and I
believe propelled me to a fourth consecutive league title in what
was by far the most competitive year in league history. (Dennis
Jezek)
In my league, I
beat 9 guys who were much smarter than me about the players and
their current performance. They spent hours daily watching
SportsCenter and Baseball Tonite and were generally much more
up-to-date than me on a daily basis. But I had the advantage of
your statistical work and was never out of the running - except for
the one lucky S.O.B. who coasted wire to wire with the most
unbelievably good draft I've ever seen. Impossible for him to have
been that smart. Thanks for your service. I'll be back. (Mal
Kenney)
Information very
helpful. I used the draft analysis and made only 3 minor trades
during the season and finished 2nd in my league. The individual who
won made several major moves during the season in order to win.
(Barry Bland)
Insider baseball
was informative, reliable, accurate and fun. This is the best
fantasy baseball site by far that I have seen. Thanks for for all
your help I look foward to your insights for next year, you have a
subscriber for life. (robert palmer)
It is all about
BRAGGING rights, oh yeah and the trophy. YOO HOO thats right we (The
Dangerfields) we won , oh yeah thats right. (norman short)
Just hope and
pray your competition doesn't find out about this resource. Keep it
all to yourself! (0000000438 Anonymous)

Keep up the good
work. (0000000179 Anonymous)
Last year was my
first year with fantasy baseball, and I had 3 teams, which was crazy
for me - however with your assistance I finished 1st in one league
and 2nd in the other two (though I was 1st in all 3 the Thursday
before the final weekend - 2 teams just happened to hit unfortunate
slumps on the final weekend). This year I decided to only have 1
team to keep a semblance of sanity - again, with your assistance
(and the previous years experience under my belt) I drafted really
well, so much so that, apart from 1 day (May 18th, when I dropped to
3rd) I was in 1st or 2nd place from April 8th onward, taking over
1st permanently on June 18th. The only real problem I've faced has
been staying motivated the last couple of months as my lead was so
huge - but that's a good problem to have, I suppose. So, whatever
you guys are doing, rest assured that you're doing it right. Keep
up the good work, and thanks very much. Sincerely yours, Keith J.
Sauter (Keith Sauter)
Like i said next
year... no injury prone players.... which 3 $25-40 players would
you bet your season on? (Robert Dulberg)
Love the product.
As a stats guy, this combines the best of baseball with the number
crunching to give you a headstart. Other teams in my leagues can't
compete. I'll be back next year. (adam flett)
Many of the
owners in my league thought I was crazy when I drafted and picked up
a couple of unproven players. However, they didn't have the
information that I had. For example, why would I pick up Jake
Westbrook and John Thomson. Well, 28 wins, and 246 K's isn't bad
from your 4th and 5th starters in a 10 team league. (Brian Holt)
My first year
using your stats, I won the league in a landslide. Mainly because
of key waiver wire acquisitions throughout the year that you
provided. This year, my weak pitching staff hurt me and not a
reflection of following your advice. I will be back next year.
(Dave Moreau)
My worst year
since starting to use your service, but I've been regularly
successful & I'll be back. (Norman Wendth)
Other than emails
sent to you earlier this year because of problems getting the
software to work (I was pleased with the response), I have only sent
one email to you in two years. It was to Lou regarding something he
wrote in his article. He never responded - disappointing. (Dan
Santorum)
Outstanding
tools! I've finished "in the money" for the past three years that I
have used the Fantistics service. Makes preseason homework a piece
of cake. Can't wait until next year! (Gaston J Andrews)
Over the past 4
years, I have been consistently impressed by the statistical
projections on your site. Every year I am in contention right to
the end. Again, the more information on players you can make
available before the season the better, and I would love to see a
write up on every player. I also was intrigued by the idea of
developing a strategy to deal with playoff series. i.e. what
factors can maximize performance in those critical games late in the
year. So if you come up with anything, let us know! Keep up the
great work! See you in '05! (Markus Fehr)
Over the past
four seasons I have used many fantasy baseball sites and magazines
but Fantistics is the only constant year in and out that I use. I
would recommend this web site to anyone not in my league. - Al
Evangelista (Al Evangelista)
Overall very
helpful and I will continue to subscribe for the 2005 season
(0000000214 Anonymous)
Overall, a great
service. I will be back next season! Bryan Holliman (Bryan
Holliman)
Overall,
Fantistics Insider Baseball is the best available tool that I have
found in helping me to win a league. If I don't win, it will keep
me in the hunt and competitive for the season. (John Scheer)
Overall, I'd say
it was worth the investment. I believe that I had more insight then
others in my league due to this. We played in a NL-only league, and
it was a little tougher, but I did alright. I was in 1st or 2nd
place ALL year. I started off in 2nd until about week 6 or 7, then
took 1st, which is where I stayed until the last couple of weeks.
(J. R. Wilson)
Overall, your
service was very helpful and entertaining. I simply did not have
the time this year to dedicate to fantasy baseball (part of the
reason I joined the site). If anything you possibly provide too
much information for a non-baseball person to keep track of or to
understand. This is a good thing but I do not feel that I took full
advantage of the tools on the site and this is why I feel I was
overwhelmed at times. Unfortunately, I suffered too many injuries
(T. Hudson, Glaus, Giambi, Sexton and Juan Gonzales) and had some
key players under perform (Orlando Cabrera & Cory Patterson) to
effectively compete this year. My league is very strong. I found
most of the player pickup updates valuable, however, most of the
time the players were already on another owner's team. Whenever
they were not, it resulted in a big payoff (Jaret Wright, Aaron
Miles & Justin Morneau). I am not one of our leagues stronger
owners but feel I have learned a lot about the game and different
players thanks to Fantistics despite my poor finish. I look forward
to joining again next season. (Dan Nordeen)
Pitching won’t
win my league, but it will lose it. I went heavy on pitching in our
snake draft in the first few rounds. Honestly, my thinking was “the
crackdown on ‘roids will cause a lot of hitters to look more human,
so the pitching has to be better this year”. A couple of problems
with that: I assumed that only hitters would be taking steroids and
therefore, only the hitters would be adversely affected my more
testing. If my theory was correct, all pitching would be up,
relatively speaking, not just the guys that found their way to
Mark’s Sharks fantasy team. I have won this league 3 out of 6
years with heavy emphasis on strong hitting to carry the weight and
quick pick ups on FA pitchers who get hot and drop them when they
fizzle. You can’t blow off the arms but those throwers are a fickle
bunch. I’m going back to the way it was meant to be. (Mark Slabaugh)
Simply put, I
think your service is second to none! (Jim Marsh)
Some of the most
enjoyable daily writing on the net. If you subscribe to rotowire
and others which I will not divulge for competitive reasons you will
find fantistics to be a cut above. (Dan Finn)
Thanks for
another great season of baseball insight. (John Wilkinson)
Thanks to you
guys I stole Mora, Lawton, and Zambrano (cubs) at the draft,
picked up J Wright, N Lowry and O Hernandez during the season and
won my first World Series title. I know the guys in my league hate
me. I love it. "Just show me the money". (w scott leuthe)
The ability to
set the statistics to the specific scoring system of the Leagues I
played in was tremendous. (0000000193 Anonymous)
The best site to
take you thru the whole season; far superior to Hot Sheet, which I
also subscribed to. (Dan Martin)
The continual
updates and ease of use of Fantistics is great! The many tools
provided by Fantistics help from pre-season to winning your league.
I particularly like the way it helped me look more into the ups and
downs of stats rather than get caught up in names. I have run my
league for 8 years and finally one for the first time in my second
season using Fantistics. Coincidence, maybe... (Jason Fitzgerald)
The daily notes
do the most for me. A couple of times during the season, I'll find
out something that will cause me to pick up a player, maybe even
trade a player, based on that info. And by info, I mean the
subjective assessments by your experts. I especially appreciate
that they'll knock a player I like, or vice versa. It helps me a
great deal to get these 2nd opinions, and is my primary reason for
subscribing. (Michael Sakowitz)
The draft
information is incredible, I won't have another draft without it,
but the icing on the cake is the daily emails. I do not get a lot
of free time to watch baseball (especially all the games), but I
know that I can come to work in the morning and read all I need to
know in the daily emails, they are priceless! (0000000013 Anonymous)
The draft
software was just phenomonal. Particularly because I was in a
points league. There are statistics that the standard espn/yahoo
5x5 rankings don't take into account, and you can definitely exploit
them using the predictions and draft lists. (Tim Preotle)
The last time I
didn't trust Fantistics was around mid-May. I had grown so
frustrated with Johan Santana that I dropped him. I outright
dropped him. He languished on waivers, cleared, and then sat on the
free agent list for a few days. No one wanted the guy. Fantistics
was telling me he would turn it around, but I didn't want to hear
it. Another owner in my league picked him up. In my auction
draft keeper league when he cleared waivers his salary was reset at
$10. I had drafted him for $22. Now, I am going into the last
three days and the one guy with a chance to steal my crown is the
very one who picked up Santana and saw his pitching totals
skyrocket. I will never turn a deaf ear to Fantistics again. Thank
you, guys! (Bryan Powers)
The most helpful
info was the draft rankings of players (most other owners don't get
the VAM concept and it truly does help vs. all the other site's
cheat sheets), the daily updates, and finally the file that tells
you which of your players has the schedule advantage to assist with
weekly lineup changes. There is no doubt in my mind that these aids
assisted me greatly in winning my 14 owner league (for the second
time in three years). Keep up the good work, and I'll see you next
season. (George Leight)
The player update
email is critical for me. There is no way I can know everything
about every team, but your daily email brings me up to speed every
morning. (Unfortunately some other players in my league caught on
and subscribed also, so it was a rush to the FA pool every morning)
(Matt Quigley)
There is truly no
other sourse I use or want to use! The daily email helps me sort out
what is going on--especially when I have not yet had time to read
the paper! As long as you have this--I will subscribe! (Rob Luzzi)
These guys are
great! It's me that has to Go! (Ken Vieth)
They key to my
team was the draft and with Fantistics draft tools I picked up most
of the MVP candidates. Also, through out the season knowing
favorable pitching matchups down the stretch. All these things
helped me totally dominate my league. If only the other owners knew
my secret to success. Thanks for a huge payday guys! (Chris Moody)
This is a great
service. I have finished 1st or 2nd in my primary league the last
three years I have used this service. Now if I can just keep people
healthy (John Andersen)
This is a very
comprehensive source of vital information if you want to stay on top
of what's happening in all the teams. Sometimes I see things here
that I haven't even seen on tv or newspaper reports. (John Greise)
This is my 3rd
year with Fantistics, and I have finished in the money rankings
since I started my subscription. Its nice to have everything I
could ask for right on one site. There is nothing worse than trying
to comb the wire trying to find out about a player who is an
up-and-comer, or searching for the severity of an injury and cannot
find any valuable information. With Fantistics it is the Wal-Wart
of fantasy information, literally one-stop shopping. The thing that
most impressed me was that I made a suggestion that I felt would
help my team grab a few cheap steals to maintain my rank in that
category. I sent a request to Jeff Ackerman and within a few short
days the item of concern was addressed by Lou Blasi. First of all
it was pretty cool to see that my question actually received some
attention, but they went beyond that and outlined the teams that
allowed the most and least amount of steals YTD. This certainly
helped me maintain my SB category, and help me place in the money
for our league. Another thing was the very timely replies I
received from Jeff Ackerman about trades that I was proposed
throughout the season. A lot of times if I received a trade I felt
was good I would run it by Jeff just to have an outsider verify the
value of the trade. He would respond within literally a couple of
hours, and most time minutes. I was especially impressed with his
response time the Saturday before our trade deadline. I can
honestly say that he talked me out of a trade that would have sunk
me for the season. He not only provided the reason's he felt that
the trade would hurt me, but he provided links to other sites to
back up his claim. That one trade review alone made the
subscription fee worth it. The rest that Fantistics had to offer
became a bonus at that point. I want to Thank everyone at
Fantistics, and a special shout out to Jeff. Your team certainly
made the subscription a worthwhile return on investment. JCC (James
Conwell)
This is probably
not good for your business, but i wouldn't dare tell any of of the
other players in my league about your site - sorry. (0000000358

This is year 2 of
using your service, and I've found it extremely helpful. I have to
give huge props to Jeff Ackerman, whose articles have added
immeasurably to my knowledge of rating both hitters and pitchers (I
owe him for both Doug Davis and Jose Lima, two pitchers I would not
have even considered had I not had his tools of analysis). In the
time I've used your service my finishes have gone from last place to
6th to probably 3rd. Thanks for all your help, and I'll see you
next year. (Jean Legere)
This was a
tremendous resource as the season wore on. The daily player
analysis were very insightful and really helped me to be a step
ahead of the other guys in my league when trying to find the diamond
in the rough on the waiver wire. The strategy tips in the First
Pitch articles were also top notch, and they really helped me to try
and put it all together to make a successful run in the playoffs. I
can't wait for next season! Thanks! (Ryan Becker)
This was my first
year using Fantistics. It was well worth the price. The
information, the writers, and customer service deserve an A++. I
looked forward each day to the emails. I'll be back for the 2005
season. Thanks for the outstanding work. Tim (0000000204

this was my first
year using your web site and i found it to be very helpful. i look
forward to next year. (richard hahn)
This was my first
year with Fantistics and I was very impressed with the quantity of
news and information. Our league has been around for over 10 years
and everyone is very knowledgeable. As my time has been spread over
many more projects, I haven't had as much time in the last couple of
years to do all the research I used to do. Fantistics made it easy
for me to get more information than everyone else in the league and
not waste my time. I had a great season and enjoyed all the
information from fantistics. Thanks a lot. (Chris Tolle)
Unfortunately I
cannot recommend Fantistics to my friends because if they are aware
of you I would no longer have an unfair advantage over them! I will
be a member again in 2005 <wink> (Chris Hanson)
VAM represents
the true meaning of positional scarcity and how to correct for it.
(0000000037 Anonymous)
Very entertaining
and informational. I'll definitely be back next year. (Chris
Scrudato)
Very good
product, with personality!. If I play next year I'll join again.
(Mark Dmohowski)
We run a 5*5
keeper league, traditional rotisserie. I developed a system using
your data and methods and last year was third, catching up at the
end and this year I was first most of the year, dropping to second
in September due to injuries. I have at this time more players that
would be keepers than I can keep going into next season. I expect
that with my keepers and the info you provide, I will be in the
money for a third year in a row if I do not win it outright. I
would never be able to build the info without this site. (Bob
Tangney)
Well done
(0000000297 Anonymous)
Won a tough
experienced league for the first time in 8 years. Have to give
credit to Fantistics cause I won with a pitching staff of 5 number 5
starters and Joe Nathan. What I understand about pitching, I
learned from Fantistics. (David .)
Wouldn't go into
a season w/o you guys. Keep up the good work. Thanks, Keith (Keith
Jewell)
YOU ARE THE MAN
(G FANT LITTLEJOHN)
You deliver a
great service and if it wasn't for Vernon Wells and Marcus Giles, I
might have had a clean sweep in all 3 of my leagues. I will
certainly be back next year, so please send me a renewal email. (jeff
rosenthal)
You guys are
great! I love finishing the work day reading your daily emails. Keep
up the good work so I can win one of these days!! (Terry Keane)
You guys are
stats giants, but if you could get real inside information on
injuries I'd pay more. (Jeff Hostetler)
You guys are the
best! (Bill (formerly, Bill from Yonkers, I retired!) Cherico)
You guys helped
me pick up good players. I just ran into bad luck with injuries.
(Kevin Beer)
You guys provide
excellent information. I could not survive without the daily
emails,Intelligence logs, prospect central (we have a minor league
keeper list of 6 players) and player tracker.-Thank you Randy
Hartwell (Randy Hartwell)
You guys really
have a quality site. By far the most helpful and insightful site
dedicated to fantasy baseball that I have seen so far. I definitely
give Fantistics a lot of credit for helping me win my first fantasy
baseball championship! (Sean Rose)
You guys rock!
Although no championship trophy is coming home with me this year, it
is not the fault of your site. Great job, the information you
provide is top notch! (Mike Doherty)
Your daily email
updates are outstanding! If it wasn't for injuries and one poor
trade, I would have been in the money in my primary league. (James
Schwarz)
YOUR DRAFT
PREDICTIONS WERE EXCELLENT. IF IT WASN'T FOR A FEW INJURIES I
WOULD'VE ONLY MADE A COUPLE LINE UP CHANGES ALL YEAR . THANX FOR ALL
YOUR WORK. I'LL BE BACK NEXT YEAR . AND WITH YOUR HELP I'LL BE
WINNING THE LEAGUE FOR THE 3RD YEAR IN A ROW !! (0000000078
Anonymous)
Your evaluations
on players who were injured going into the season were great. I
avoided Glaus, P. Wilson, both Luis and Juan Gonzalez and Reyes, K.
Brown etc., because of your downgrading of their projections and
your designation of these and other players as high or very high
risk. (Terry Cashman)
Your pre-season
software and analysis alone is worth the price of a subscription. I
feel like I have the season won before the players hit the field. I
can't wait to sign up again next year. (Tony Akin)
Your service is
great. I especially valued the daily updates and the 14 day
pitching rotation info. (Gary Frazier)
Your service was
outstanding! I think my results this year ( two first place
finishes) will attest to that. Unfortunately, I'd prefer that my
comments not be published. I am in two leagues and I have a couple
of other owners who are in both leagues who also use your site. They
both raved about it in the past which is why i gave it a try this
year. Knowing what info they were seeing and that I was seeing the
same info without them knowing I think was advantageous to me,
especially on draft day. I'd like to keep it that way. I found your
valuations to be excellent both in terms of content and format. I
found FPI to be a great toll in terms of helping me with the draft,
especially at the later stages. C.Monroe & A.Rowand were 2 players
who I ended-up selecting later in my drafts as a result of your
prognostications and both players were obtained at low market
prices. I loved the editorial comments by your writers, I tended to
agree with many of their comments and even those I didn't agree with
I found interesting. I think its good to hear different strategies,
formats and ideas on how to improve both your team and your league.
I know I'll be a subscriber next year. The information I saw on your
site was the most in-depth and well thought out that I have seen in
my 17 years of doing rotissierie baseball. There are enough tools to
satisfy the needs of the most entusiastic of owners, and for those
who don't need all the tools there is plenty of upfront and basic
information and strategy that makes your service the best in the
industry. Keep up the good work! (Rich)
Your service,
from your customizable draft database through your daily updates,
has put me in position to win every year. Thank you Fantistics.
(Bob Swanger)
Your staff did
everything for me but actually pitch and hit. Projections and
statistics provided are wonderfully unbiased, and the opinions and
comments from your staff are highly entertaining (and wonderfully
biased!). This is THE BEST site I've found for fantasy baseball,
both preseason and in season. (Lee Haakenson)
Your web site and
preseason rankings are the best I have ever used. For the past three
years I have been able to acquire the right players and free agents
to stay competitive in the league. I will definitely subscribe next
year for more of the same great analysis. (John Schmidt)
Your website was
extremely helpful all season long. I don't think that I could have
competed as well as I did all year without the assistance of the
fantistics website. Thank You!! (Thomas McAleer) |
